Use Term Node Count to supply X most/least used terms to Exposed Filters?

Can your module be used to create i.e. the 3 most used terms (of a certain vocabulary) as choices for exposed filters?

Illustrating example:
My Art section page, where I want to create a block, which would look like this:
By art type: All (32), Painting (15), Art Installation (10), Performance (5), Other (2)
By topic: Sustainability (20), Economy (17), Social orientation (14)
(Unexposed filter: "Custom content type" or vocabulary "Type" == "Art", depending on how you do this)

Explanation:
"Art Type" is a fixed term vocabulary, hence in this block this can be "static exposed filters".
"Topic" is a tag vocabulary. The block would then offer "dynamically changing exposed filters".
The brackets show the amount of nodes matching the criteria. If this is not possible at all, it's also ok. Just a wish.

Faceted Search has a similar search approach, but it always shows everything.
I would like to get a reduced term set, hence I consider your module to be the right one.
