Issue Summary

There's a dl.documentation dt { somewhere that wants to do an explicit font-weight normal.
Compare with https://infrastructure.drupal.org/drupal.org-style-guide/typography.html: these dt's want an H4-y size and weight to them and some more top-spacing to set each item apart.

Screenie: http://skitch.com/yoroy/d7muj/documentation-drupal.org

I think an explicit font-normal because bold is the right default for the smaller ones in the grid-4 blocks underneath and any basic usage in body texts

I'm not up to snuff on the actual margin mathematics, just added half an em's worth of margin-top.

#2

Making them actual Header 3 tags would work as well for typography, no opinion on the SEO part but h3 sounds fair.

Would work great for d.o/community too, swap out the h5's for h3's:

Bump since this concerns landing pages linked to from the D7 release announcement.

Found myself making a similar mockup on the start page of a single handbook. We need more visual hierarchy on overview pages.

I bumped up the size of h3, see #949418: Consider making h3 heading darker or bolder..

I'm okay with the switches in #1 and #2. Any second opinions?

#5, book navigation is a whole separate issue. There can be a lot, so that example is overly-big, like http://drupal.org/documentation/install/advanced-multisite.

#7

Agreed that last example is exaggerated and that book menu is something else. Just don't use bold :)

re: #5 - there's a long-term goal to do away with these "overview" pages as part of the decrufting process (though i'm not sure exactly how realistic that is), as they rarely have any content of their own. so i'm not sure if it's worthwhile (also that is definitely too large for some pages!), at least at this point.

I think the current page at http://drupal.org/documentation is OK, and I'm tentatively marking this issue as "fixed". If you think it still needs work, please re-open and explain what you think should be done. Thanks!
