I don't think it's compatible with Panels. Good observation but I don't have time to fix it. Any kind of help would be welcomed.

How do you use it? I just installed.

You can use it with mini-panels, so you can effectively put multiple columns in each tab of a tabbed block. Haven't tried to use it with the full blown panels module though.
