After I upgraded Views module to 6.x-3.x-dev, the option for Taxonomy: Term Node Count do not show any more.
However, the page display created before upgrading and included Term Node Count still shows this option.

It does work.
Tested with latest Views 6.x-3.x-dev.
Guess I had to test before I read and reply.
