I’m running on the latest versions of XAMPP (version 1.7.3) with PHP (5.3.1). My Drupal site which is the 6.19 version doesn’t allow my users to upload images because the browse function is not available. With previous versions of XAMPP (1.7.1 and before), I didn’t have this problem. I installed the latest version of FileField hoping that it would work but to no avail. What seems to be the problem and how can I fix it?

I've not heard of this particular problem, but I would highly recommend that you use PHP 5.2.x instead of 5.3, since Drupal 6 core itself is not compatible with PHP 5.3.
