cor3huis commentedNo, there is no date. It is opensource and IMHO to all who want this module, I think it is best to walk the issue queue for v3. Help fixing issues on whatever level you can. Submitting patches is even better. Then with maintainers help get a RC1 out for everyone to test. If this is stable enough a v3.0 then use the Coder module for initial auto-conversion to a Drupal7 version module and go from there.
If this has to become a reality, subscribing to an issue will not make it happen, a little more involvement is needed. Make yourself immortal an step up to the task if you use this module.

Stuart Greenfield commentedIt is going to come... I've been away from Drupal / SWF Tools for a while, but I'm getting ready to get started again. Read a bit more at #1044406: SWF Tools needs development activity or new maintainer!
