Hi,

Installed the module. Located the "QChat Online Status" and "QChat Friends" blocks. Dont see any other block.
Dont see the link to chat. Passed the "Chat LInk" code to "author-pane.tpl.php" and that doesnt work either.

Currently, I am on development ubuntu server and logged in as "root". Created a user#2 and set the permissions right.
As root, visited the other users account (author pane is available) to see a link to chat, unfortunately, doesnt see the link! Few hours
spent already.

Does this link to chat appear only when user#2 logs in and become online ? Or, am I having installation problem that link or chat should show normally that I cant see. Installed jquery update module as well.

Thanks for the responses.

Looks like the problem was "User Relationship" to be set to "friend" in this case. Then, clickable friend list appears to start the chat.
Now the second question is:

- How would this work if complete list of Users need to chat with each other instead of "Friends" list ?
Say, there are 20,000 users and 5000 are online. Is there an option for a user to scroll/autocomplete user name and start chatting ?

Thx

I had the same problem. When I first set the module up I set "user relationship" and "friend" in the settings and it didn't work. It was only when I unset these, save it (cleared caches, incidentally) and then reset these settings that it picked up people to chat to.

It seems very slow and the module doesn't always seem to pick up people's chat lines and put them in the other's window - but it could be my local setup as I'm only testing it locally at the moment.

Looks like a great module though and I'll run a better test on a proper server soon enough.
