I've tried to add my site to the white list in the following formats:
*mysite.com*
*mysite.com/*
http://www.mysite.com
mysite.com
But the rel="nofollow" tag is still added to my internal links.

What is the correct way to add sites to the list?

Are you using relative or absolute links for the local links?

Is the site public and can you share a link? If not, please post some html (with any domains renamed) so I can review.

I am linking directly to other internal pages on my site. For instance, visit my last blog post (http://www.pinnacleplans.com/blog/applying-marketing-research-process-bu...) and view the first link "business marketing" (http://www.pinnacleplans.com/free-marketing-analysis). This link should not have a no follow tag, but it does.

After you change the whitelist you have to clear the filter cache. That can be done most easily by changing a word or two in the blog post and saving it.

I have changed a couple of words in the blog post and also cleared all cached data using the performance module, but the no follow tag is still there.

Clearing caches using performance page doesn't clear the filter cache which is the one that's important for this module.

Really, we should add a clear of the filter cache in the form submit so we avoid this confusion.

Changing a word or two in the blog post and saving it didn't work. Is there another way to clear the filter cache?

I currently have the same problem. I have changed a few words in posts where I would like the links to resolve as ordinary Do follow , cleared cache, run cron... - no use.
Any change you are working with CKeditor?

I am using CKeditor. Is that what's causing this problem?

EDIT: Simply flushing all caches seems to do the trick.

Is there a better way to clear the filter cache than to change a word and re-save the page? Under all circumstances, this should be mentioned on the settings page:

Now

If you choose the whitelist option, be sure to add your own site to the list!

With added clear filter cache tip below

If you choose the whitelist option, be sure to add your own site to the list!
Remember to clear the filter cache by [INSERT BEST WAY HERE, COULD BE:] changing a word and re-saving the node.
