Issue Summary
There is something very wrong with the Apture servers today. It is taking up to one minute to load this file http://apture.com/js/apture.js . Obviously I should in Apture's issue cue, but in the meantime can I just host it on my server?

Closing. Apture must have fixed the problem.

This happens constantly, almost every second day. Everyone of my sites never finish loading the page because it is looking for this file. Are there any alternatives, like hosting this file locally instead of having to look for it on apture.com?

Sometimes when I load a page apture.js will load in 140 ms (or so). A little while later if I reload the same page, apture.js will take 40 seconds, sometimes over a minute. Ouch. I was so happy when I discovered Apture, but this kind of delay will send people away from a site, not keep them there longer.

I agree. It's a great module/feature, but I have had a love/hate relationship with it since the beginning. I am now abandoning it for use on all my client sites (i have also contacted apture directly and they didn't seem to have an interest in the drupal module anymore, anyways.)

At "performance" set optimize JavaScript files to "enabled".

javascript is already enabled. it still sends a request back to apture.com and will not finish loading the page until it does.

I have the same problem and others posted the same issue in Apture's help forum http://getsatisfaction.com/apture/topics/why_does_apture_js_take_so_long...
Could we just cache http://apture.com/js/apture.js locally?

Any news about load time?
