As I've seen no updates as been posted for a long time (the project states it's based on PHPTAL 1.2.0 of over one year ago, while PHPTAL 1.2.2 is presently released, less then one month ago), and I'm working on drupal-phptal based sites with self-made patches, I'd like to follow phptal's related routines (theme, modules and more) on Drupal, theme engine included.
If you could still be active, I'd like to co-maintain "PHPTAL theme engine", if you can't follow the project for any reasong, I'd like to maintain it.
Thank you.

phprf commentedDear Andy,
I would love to have someone else on board as a co-maintainer. I became the owner of the project last year simply because olav didn't have time to update it. So, I made the necessary updates to make it D6 compatible. Do you have CVS access yet? I would love to see some of your work as well!

Elementica commentedHi,
presently I have no CVS access, as I've never needed it before (I've made some works based on DRUPAL, but all patches - many to fit my clients' needs - have been published only on the destination site): as I use PHPTAL in many works and I like it, I could follow the theme engine's related project, as stated.
My first aim would be to test (and if necessary upgrade) the present release of the theme engine to PHPTAL 1.2.2 and manage the D7 release too, if needed as I'm going to develop a new site possibly based entirely on D7 and PHPTAL. Do you need more informations or would like to know something else?
See ya.

phprf commentedDear Andy,
That sounds great. Feel free to make any upgrades you are able. The reason I mentioned CVS access is because I am willing to give you CVS privileges. You will have to apply for CVS access (http://drupal.org/handbook/cvs) and then I can grant you access to update the project via cvs.
Regards,
RF

Elementica commentedI've read the procedures to maintain D projects: I'll go for a CVS account linking back this issue to show you agree I can contribute for this project, so I hope next weeks I can begin updating...
Thank you, regards.

Elementica commentedI've just applied for a CVS account, so I think I've to wait for a while... I will notify you when I'll have access to manage the project... see ya!
