Gadget for issues assigned to active user

Project:Project issue tracking
Version:6.x-1.x-dev
Component:User interface
Category:feature request
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:active

Issue Summary

We're given a way to assign issues to ourselves, but there's no way to use that information and call it easily to the forefront. Yes, you can always search, but if the dashboard is a launch point, this should be there.

I understand that many advanced drupalistas are maintainers, and so the project issue gadget suffices. However, for those who are less tethered to a specific project, we hop around and submit patches wherever we see a need or opportunity. I use the "Assigned to" tag to flag something that I want to volunteer for -- not just within my own projects.

Anyhow, any thoughts on this? Would this not be a worthwhile addition? It seems like it would complement the intentions behind patch bingo -- giving those less invested something to take ownership over :)

So I understand the problem... you want a list of all issues that are assigned to you? Seems reasonable!

You can do an advanced search (http://drupal.org/project/issues/search) with your username in the assigned field but this ought to be part of the Dashboard. Anybody want to work on this code?

**Moving this to the Drupalorg customizations project, as part of closing down the Redesign project.

This might as well just be a block provided directly by the project_issue module instead of something custom and specific to drupal.org. Could be useful as a regular block on sites without a dashboard, too...
