I have installed the module, and I can search for a new user by their username. But it always says "No IP history" under the IP history section. I would like to be able to block users by IP. Do you have to do something special to get those to show?

I have Statistics module enabled, but I still don't know how can I get IP of anonymous comment poster.

I think that this is not supported by the engine and, perhaps, even due to some core restrictions.
Are you sure you need anonymous posting?

(a am not related to the development of the module, just some thoughts)

I installed a module called comment_moderation and then enabled the block only visible to admins. When you click on a new comment entry in that block, it will list the IP address of the person who entered the comment. I find it very useful.

If this is still an issue, please re-open and upgrade version to D7. Drupal 6 is no longer being maintained.
