D6 is the actual stable release of drupal.
Would love to see a D6 release of this module.

If someone takes the time to backport it, I'd be happy to review the code and put out a D6 release!

I won't be backporting it myself, though. (This module was written for a use case in Drupal Gardens, which is Drupal 7 only.)

ok i understand.
i liked the possibility to remove the "user's blog" at the end of the teaser.
i found an other way that worked for me.
i just had to add this code to my theme's .css file

ul.links li.blog_usernames_blog {
display:none;
}

wow I really hope someone does something about this ... I mean who really wants to move to Drupal 7 if you have any complexity with 6 pretty scary. 6 would be nice we need this!
