Fixes to translations should be submitted to localize.drupal.org. Once we go through the git migration modules will no longer include their .po and .pot files.

We're not really for making any additional changes to the i18n-ascii.example.txt file at this point, especially since #823648: Allow multiple locations for i18n-ascii.txt to make it drush-up-friendly landed. If you need good multilingual support, you should be using the 6.x-2.x branch of the module.
