I developed a module for Drupal 5.x and 6.x, and I would like it to be hosted with the Drupal community.
It is a security module based on CAPTCHAs, which also makes money for web or blog owners by combining advertisements as the CAPTCHA sentence, so they actually gain twice with one simple tool: their site is spam free AND they make money.

brianV commentedPlease attach a copy of your module's code if you would like a CVS application review.
Also, please review http://drupal.org/node/539608.

avpadernoHello, and thank you for applying for a CVS account.
As per requirements, the motivation should include a description of the module features (more than two sentences, and ideally few paragraphs); it should also include a comparison with the existing solutions.
If with you mean that the module is a modified version of captcha.module, may you report why you didn't open a support request including a patch to alter the code of the existing project?

AdsCaptcha commentedHello,
Firstly it's important to explain: the module is BASED on the CAPTCHA module (thus the CAPTCHA module must also be downloaded) - but it is not a modified version of it. AdsCaptcha is a unique idea for a CAPTCHA, and it's an independent development.
As explained, the CAPTCHA is not random words, letters, numbers or gibberish, it is Ads or Slogans. Thus the module provides two things:
1. A spam free website
2. Everytime a CAPTCHA is being retyped, the site owner makes money.
Since it is based on the captcha.module it has its features:
Full control over the CAPTCHAs location, who will or will not have to fill the CAPTCHA (for e.g. Admins or regular users), on which pages will the CAPTCHA appear (Comments? Registration? Both?).

zzolo commentedHi. Please read all the following and the links provided as this is very important information about your CVS Application:
Drupal.org has moved from CVS to Git! This is a very significant change for the Drupal community and for your application. Please read the following documentation on how this affects and benefits you and the application process:
Migrating from CVS Applications to (Git) Full Project Applications

Dabitch commentedHi AdsCaptcha, just a note to say I'm testing your module (D6) and loving it. Thanks.

avpadernoAs per previous comment, I am setting this issue as Won't fix.
Since new users can now create full projects, applications have a different purpose and they are handled on a different issue queue. See Apply for permission to opt into security advisory coverage for more information.
