Would be great if this could also interface with node comment. Because node-comment uses views to theme itself, it is a lot more flexible, and can do things such as have an attachment for the "Best Rated Answer" as well as the selected answer. Just a thought.

Just want to say that the easiest way to have "best rated answers" now, perhaps, is to have Views integration (a "selected answer" filter for Comments).

+1 for node comments integration - in some use cases, "answers" might require more complexity (attachments, taxonomy, etc)

Sorry, but with the current D7 version, comment is fieldable and can do many things. I don't have a plan to do it in D6, unless someone else provides patch.

A lot of people like me won't be moving to D7 anytime soon because we have many modules that are not ported yet. It will be great if this feature can be added to D6.

There is already a D7 branch, and as I don't use nodecomment, I won't develop this feature. If anyone has a patch, feel free to reopen this issue.
