Hi,
from my own experience with this module, I would say that it's perfect, does what it's meant to do, easy to install, no dependencies, and contains all the stuff needed to access/write mails...
But why is it so slow ?
It needs about twenty seconds to open any page, write, read, and so on (Using Webmail Plus, the same operations complete in < 1 sec. ! But this module is, to me, much less user-friendly...), even if the users share the same login for site access AND mail account.
I noticed it's a development version (running D6), but is there anything that could/will be done about it ?

Anyway, thanx...

Answer to myself : seems to be working much better with imap server properly configured !

Would you mind elaborating on what happened and what you did to fix it, in case some one else has that problem? It also might be some thing I want to include in the documentation as a troubleshooting tip. Thanks.

Hi !
Got a mail from Leksat, and realised this long-forgotten issue was still interesting some persons...

I can't quite remember what i did to solve the problem, but i think it was on the server-side (a home-hosted one), in imap configuration on a Debian 6 install.
Once the problem solved, i also remember having written somewhere i was quite amazed Drupal didn't provide a good webmail module (as far as i know, no tools exist without folder issues, with a good GUI...), and turned to another solution : externalising mail management from the website.
I guess it's not the answer you expected, but i infortunately am no developer...
I may try to find in my notes the correct answer if some of you are interested, but even if i get it, i'm afraid this won't solve the entire question...

Regards.

Restoring the Status, as it hasn't been updated in over a year.
