problems with non standard characters

Hi

When I first 'add note' with some non standard characters such as the danish æ, ø or å they show up fine.

When I then return to the image later the characters has been replaced by a question sign, '?'

If I then 'edit note' and replace the '?' with the character (æ, ø or å) it works fine again.

But it seems a bit weird having to reload the image and 'edit note' everytime - just to make sure the characters show up right.

It would be better, if it just worked the first time on 'add note'.

Is this a conflict between drupals UTF-8 and another characterset of fotonotes?
