Previous discussion made it sound like either a new module would be created, or that simplenews would be updated to handle attachments. I am wondering if there has been any progress (that is 4.6.x compatible) for attaching images to simplenews emailed nodes.
A solution was posted, but does not seem to have any effect on the emails resulting from attachments (the simplenews node shows the attachment online, but the email has no mention of it). At the least, I am looking for a way to link to the simplenews node that was mailed from (to display attachments).
