This is actually a request for 6 AND 7, but I had to choose one, and I assume that if it goes into 6 we'll also get it in 7. And before I go further, let me say that this module has made my life much easier--I had merged a couple of sites manually, and was able, with this module, to separate them out much less painfully than I had anticipated.
That said, I did have to try several configurations, since I'm apparently thick in the head. That being the case, it might be nice to have a "noob" setup with, say checkboxes, or perhaps some specific on-screen instructions.
For instance, if I want to (as in my case) move nothing except all of a certain type of node, the comments and read counts, and my users, perhaps there could be squares which, if checked, would automagically select only those tables for those tasks, since sometimes it wasn't obvious to me that I had to include a certain table.
Or even clickable help links, where if I click "I want to move nodes of a certain type," instructions would drop down telling me exactly which fields to highlight to do so, with additional instructions on including the comments and counts. Maybe another help link could say, "I want to export all my users and relevent data." As it was, I excluded a few fields I shouldn't have a few times trying to keep things to a bare minimum, and exported a few that I'm not sure I needed.
Now, I recognise that the issue was my lack of knowledge, and as I said, this module saved me a lot of time and hassle of doing experimental manual mySQL dumps and imports until I got it right. I'm just saying it could be made even more "idiot-proof."

ronan commentedActually I don't encourage or support partial migrations with this module. There are so many interconnected tables in drupal, that isolating just part of the database is a risky prospect at best, and you really need to know what you're doing. I'm glad it worked out well for you but there's no way I could account for all of the module combinations people might have when trying to slice and dice their databases.
