tracking internal clicks, link layout
Rain - November 14, 2006 - 22:08
Hello,
What method is there to track internal clicks in my web site? Is there a way to see my layout and how many times a "link" (not page, there could be multiple links to the same content) has been clicked?
This would be great for eliminating the links that don't get clickthrough.
Thanks

thanks for the link. I thought this was for external links, did not think it would be for the internal links in my site.
I will give it a try.
thx
Not the Click thru Tracking module
I checked this module but it does not seem for for internal link tracking. Is there a method for analyzing the clicks within my website?
I would like to be able to tell which of my internla links are useless so I remove/change them.

in that case, correct me if
in that case, correct me if I am wrong. The statistics modules which is part of core tracks teh amount of "reads" which is bascially an internal & external click counter ?
the xstatistics mod, and firestats mod may also proove useful and may be products you want to look into.
The internal reads in the
The internal reads in the Statiscs module would show the total reads for that page. However the info I would like to know is:
Lets say I have a link to example.com/Article page on the top of my main page(example.com) and another exactly the same link in the botom of main page. Which do users click more? That would be the info I am looking for. If I look at the page statistics it would show total page clicks.
I will check out the modules you mention
Thanks
Did you...
Did you happen to find anything? I'm looking to do this for myself as well. I was thinking of trying to develop something but I'm still a bit of a newbie with Drupal programming. I could tack on something external pretty easily, although that's not ideal.
Hi rousehouse I could not
Hi rousehouse
I could not find anything that would show internal click distribution.
Would love to know if you find a solution!
