If there are parentheses in a reference title, Google Scholar link does not work.
For example for the reference:
Jaffé, R., and R. F. A. Moritz. "Mating flights select for symmetry in honeybee drones (Apis mellifera)." Naturwissenschaften 97 (2010): 337-343.
the search phrase is:
"Mating+flights+select+for+symmetry+in+honeybee+drones+(Apis+mellifera)" autor:Jaffé
and should be:
"Mating+flights+select+for+symmetry+in+honeybee+drones+Apis+mellifera" autor:Jaffé

I am not an google search expert but I think all "+" characters can be removed as well.
According to the search tips:
http://scholar.google.pl/intl/en/scholar/refinesearch.html
the phrase should be only in quotes.
I have noticed that all non alpha characters in the phrase are ignored, therefore, the search works.
"+" means something different and should be used without quotes
the "+" operator makes sure your results include common words, letters or numbers that Google's search technology generally ignores, as in [+de knuth];
Quotation marks can be removed from the title as well because this can affect the search.

rjerome CreditAttribution: rjerome commentedI'm not so sure about that one. I believe they are referring to the text you put in their search form, however, if you look at the url that gets created from the advanced search form, I think you will see "+" between the words. I had to reverse engineer the URL string from the output of that form.

not2smart CreditAttribution: not2smart commentedNow the links work, this is most important.
The other changes are not essential.
