I've created a new photography website at http://www.rptphoto.co.uk. It uses Drupal and the Gallery2 software with the Carbon theme from mincel.com. I've copied the Drupal bluemarine theme and modified the colours to match the Carbon theme. This gives it a dark background so that the photos stand out.

At the moment the main content are the photos. I plan to upload plenty more photos and will also add some articles and perhaps a forum or two.

Please take a look and see what you think. All comments are welcome especially if you find any text that doesn't show properly as I may have missed some of the changes needed by moving from a white to a dark background.

Very nice site. Very well done. I have never seen a Gallery2 site looking so good inside Drupal. (I use acidfree but this means I need to take another look at Gallery2.)
There is one thing. Whenever I click on a thumbnail I get a a flash of the user login.

I've tried to reproduce the flash of the login when clicking on a thumbnail but I don't see it. I've used Opera and Firefox on both Windows and Linux plus IE 6. What OS and browser are you using?

I'm working on a similar project at the minute, but i'll like to each image to have comments and also link to a forum topic. Have you considered this? Has anyone done this before at all?

Also, if you arent using most of the features of gallery2 would it be better to conseider a smaller gallery solution. Gallery2 seems fairly hefty based on the download size.
