Reproduce:
- set the with / height of the dialog to 'auto'
- add a ajax / dialog button on the page
- open the dialog using (IE8 windowXP or w7)

you should see an JS error.

Reasons:
Due to the sum of the current with / height, you result in something like "auto0px" and "auto15px", which is a wrong CSS value and results the IE to not being able to apply the styles, alerting with an error.

Patch attached ( checks for width / height beeing not an integer ). Patched against the current dev ( today )

/me feels kind of ignored.

Sorry about that, Eugen. I've had client work, the holiday season, and I've been focused on Views for a few weeks, and I'm about to have another baby. There's only so much of me to go around. Panels got a lot of work from me in the Aug-Oct region and I've not really gotten back to look at it much since.

Hi, do not know if my error is same as this one, but see: http://drupal.org/node/802050#comment-3982008.
I applied this but no change. Also pages as admin/build/pages/nojs/operation/page-ctools_plugin_example/handlers/page_ctools_panel_context/content are theme-wise completely broken.

greetings, Martijn
