A truly bizarre problem. A user put in a comment on a forum thread with the quote tages, but without an "=user", like this

[/quote]

This seems to have broken the whole thread to the point where it returns a "page not found" (an http page not found, not just a Drupal one, so all I get is a blank screen). Once I remove the "quote" tags, it displays normally.

#422038: 500 errors (impossible to open nodes) seems to be related.
