The post Droopress #002 (http://cocoate.com/2010/11/23/droopress-002) devotes a whole five sentences in a larger blog post about Drupal, with not really anything new or worthwhile to the Planet in my opinion. Reviewing the feed there seem other posts (http://cocoate.com/2010/07/15/my-next-three-months) that don't really mention Drupal or would be valuable to the community. The irony is the feed is already using a 'drupal planet' tag. I'm going to send out a friendly e-mail as a reminder to use the tag conservatively rather than liberally.

Gerhard Killesreiter CreditAttribution: Gerhard Killesreiter commentedI have to say that I found that article rather interesting compared to the plethora of "how to use module X" or "how I want to make money from Drupal"...
The references to WP and Joomla in comparison to Drupal are especially interesting.

Isabell CreditAttribution: Isabell commentedI agree with Killes. I am enjoying the posts and find it valuable to know what is happening with competing CMSes.
I think that it belongs very well to the Drupal planet, i.e. the Drupal world. It is a must to have an insight to what is happening outside Drupal.

Alex UA CreditAttribution: Alex UA commentedI'm marking this as "won't fix"- there's no accounting for taste, which is why we shouldn't be trying (too hard) to get people to tag "less liberally". You can always "read less liberally"- nobody is forcing you to read anything, and if they are, that should probably be it's own issue.
Here's a free tip on keeping up on feeds:
If you're using Google Reader, I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the "N" shortcut key. With one fell swoop of a finger (or any body part that can discriminate between keys) you can magically skip to the next post in your feed, relieving you of the pain of having to read posts that are 'not planet worthy' and relieving me of the need to continually remind you that you are free not to read anything you don't want to. Now, in all honesty, my "N" key is really starting to see some wear and tear as I keep up on almost 50 feeds, but that is but a small price to pay for the privilege of skipping so much content that isn't interesting to me at all (as well as for all of the free and awesome content that I don't press "N" on).

Dave ReidWait, everyone agrees that http://cocoate.com/2010/07/15/my-next-three-months is planet worthy? Wow. But I can see the point for the latest post being ok as long as it's not a low-quality recurrence, so marking this as won't fix sounds good.
I know how to use Google Reader, thanks very much. Thanks for being a smart ass.

bonobo CreditAttribution: bonobo commentedSeems like some of these would be a better for for Drupal Talk.
And the N key - I'll do a follow up video on the various appendages/extremities that can be used to pres the N key.
I'll post it to the Planet, as it references this issue.
And if you want to use the N key, be sure to watch the video for new and exciting ways to do just that!
