I've seen a few other posters on CivicSpace's forums with this same problem, but no one has yet to offer a solution.
I've installed the banner module successfully, uploaded a banner, configured a block to view it - and everything works...except that the image doesn't actually show up. The image is exactly where the page code thinks it is, too -- and the MIME is correctly identified to boot. Shows up in the directory (as seen via FTP) and in the database with the correct path (/file/banners/banner.gif).
Oh, the best part is that I can get a text ad to work - so it's really only the images that are the problem.
Any leads would be great - I really need to make this puppy work.

Help? Pretty please?
This is so vexing -- I am so excited about this module, and yet there is clearly a conflict with some part of the CivicSpace installation! Has anyone had an experience like this before?

Chances are it's a path issue
Chances are it's a path issue -- banner.module is looking for the image in some place other than where it's stored. Have you checked the page source code to see where the module tried to find it?

yeah, that's the weird thing
The page source reveals the exact location of the image -- and the image is in the directory referenced by the page. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a javascript conflict with another exisiting module.
