Hi, I'm using Image module (http://drupal.org/project/image) for my galleries and as you know you can specify a short description for each gallery with info on its contents.
I just found out that image galleries descriptions are not searchable, i.e. if you search for a word contained in the gallery description, the gallery itself will not show up in the search results.
Can anybody give me a suggestion on how to solve this? Thanks a lot.
Regards.

joachim commentedThat's to do with core taxonomy and search. See if there are any modules that can help with that.

sunThanks for taking the time to report this issue.
However, marking as duplicate of #923484: Nested image gallery names are not indexed for search?. You can follow up on that issue to track its status instead. If any information from this issue is missing in the other issue, please make sure you provide it over there.
If you are new to drupal.org, it would help us if you would search for existing issues before submitting a new one. We strongly advise you search using the drupal.org search facility, because it really is very good. NOT a third party search engine (e.g. Google) as you may well not find what you are looking for.

steff2009 commentedThank you sun!
I did search before posting, of course. But you see, my search terms "Image gallery descriptions are not searchable" did not match #923484... so it wouldn't come up in the results!
How was I supposed to use exactly the terms "nested galleries... etc." This is an issue of all search engines and results, don't blame me for that :-)
Regards.

joachim commentedYou may have to try several searches; also, try just a few terms. In this case, I would have tried just 'search' first, and if that produced too many results, 'search gallery'; then read down the list of issue titles and investigate those that look like they may be relevant. Searching is not a one-step operation :)
