Hi, apologies in advance for this as it's most likely to be something I've done wrong. I'm new to Drupal but was able to instal up to the point where it tells me "Welcome to your new Drupal website".

Installation is on a 1&1.com shared server (Linux not MS).

I have created a user called "admin" via the browser screen after the "Welcome to your new Drupal website" message.

When I click on "administration section", "customize and configure" or "module list" I am unable to proceed as I get an error message saying:

ACCESS DENIED
YOU ARE NOT AUTHORZED TO ACCESS THIS PAGE

I have looked everywhere but cannot find a way to change user privileges.

Has anybody experienced this and able to help me correct it please?

Thanks

Matt

You need to log in as user one and give permissions.

I am also new to Drupal. I haven't touched my site for a while. I've been trying to access the administrator page unsuccessfully. I have been trying to access the administrator section by selecting "Go to my site" on the Acquia Drupal stack control panel. It takes me to my site as I left it. When I try to access the administrator section to make updates, I am denied.

I've tried requesting my password. I get a message saying that it will send me instructions to the email address that I listed. Nothing is sent when I try to have my password sent to the email I gave as the administrator or when I attempt to create a new account. Help!!

Have you ever figured out how to access your site as Admin? The exact same thing is happening to us! Please, let me know what worked for you!
