Hi,

I have created a rule to send an email to all users of a role when a new content is created, but I don't want that the author of the created node receive an email.

Is it possible to except the author of the node ?

In 7.x you can use views to create customized email lists.

These topics should be covered in Sending emails List operations with Views, but aside from that, there is already an action for sending emails to users with a role.
