FYI, I copied the fine code from this module and enhanced it a bit and committed to drush core. So, site-install forks for Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 now. Thanks for all the work here. Hope folks can keep on developing over in the drush issue queue.

I recommend deleting the code here and unpublishing this project. I can help with that as needed.

Please mention this on the module description page for clarity. drush-6.x-4.0-rc9 is now the recommended release, so I'm not sure this is still a concern.
