The module and theme usage stats available on the project pages at d.o are really valuable. Is it feasible to gather stats like this for localizations, and report them on l.d.o? I'd love to know how many websites have been built using the translation of a particular language.

gábor hojtsyMaybe in the farther future. We use ftp.drupal.org for downloads such as all other modules and themes do. Translation "usage" stats would be akin to module/theme download stats, which are not displayed (and not accumulated regularly AFAIR). There is no dynamic communication involved in translation downloads unlike for update status module which is used for gathering the usage data.
I agree this is a great idea, but not seeing the technology we could use, minus somehow aggregating the download stats.

hass commentedHow about adding this to the l10n_update module? I guess we already have this info, isn't it?
