I've been hunting around for one, and for related posts. All I can find are a lot of 'try this' and 'try that', none of which has worked for me. I'm surprised there isn't a module that makes this easy, I would think it would be very popular. Many sites on the web have such galleries, it's very common. I'm thinking there must be a way to set it up in Drupal, but I haven't found it yet. Please help!

bump...
for someone with skills to get into this in case...

since there is no real easy way to display a video gallery

Displaying videos with thumbnails, using a player and organizing in a gallery is a fairly complex process. I doubt anyone is going to be able to write out a post with step-by-step instructions to create a video gallery.

Instead they would direct your attention to the MediaFront module (http://drupal.org/project/mediafront) which is fairly robust and well-documented. The best bet would be to follow the installation instructions very closely, configure your site and follow up with specific questions here or in the module's issue cue.

Hi,

I came across the MediaFront module but it seems it works for embedded youtube videos. What about videos hosted on Drupal directory itself?

The Mediafront module is not a video encoder. It will not transform one video file format to another. However, it will display video files in the most optimal way depending on the browser you are using, with an optional flash-fallback. So you can use your own video, YouTube video, or both.
