* You have to get in mind that this module requieres 2.0 GB free space on your *

* DMoz RDF contents and RDF handling&importing from mysql. *

and also.....
5) Be sure http://your_site/cron.php is running in crontab every 5
minutes (dmoz needs to be executed very frecuently because it needs to
complete a lot of tasks for parsing and importing contents)
with all the other modules in need of the cron.php (like getting of news for the aggregator, for instance) the DMOZ module uses too much resources used on a module in my opinion. If you do not have a lot of modules that require cron then this can be ideal for you.
Also, I will rather use that 2gb+ to provide my users/members more diskspace for their pictures, blogs, file uploads ensuring me content that is genuinely my site's content. So if you have tons of space then this module will be great for you.
As to my sites' requirements, there are other effective ways to display dmoz data than this. Displaying/importing dynamically so it is searchable, cachable and crawlable.
I'll post a demo link here when i'm done with this thing I'm talking about and most probably contribute it after some bug testing.
Import as in import?
Import the dmoz rdf to your database? the oh-so-much-gigabytes of it?
or to dynamically display the directory not necessarily importing the data to your server (white label but with attribution, of course).
I'm in the process of doing the latter at the moment, started it yesterday...but need to do some more cosmetic surgery on it.

Look at
Look at http://drupal.org/node/64271 , I search the upgrade for 4.7
so you want to import at least 2 gigabytes of content.
I looked into this link before but decided not to use it.
Downsides in my opinion:
