The querystring field only accepts a limited amount of characters, how can i increase this limit?

Hmmm dont you think this module is a little over complicated. Instead of having a field for querystring and anchor why not just have the single path field and allow a user to enter what ever he likes into that. The placeholder tokens is a really nice touch though =]

Please can someone give me a hint as to how i would go about doing this? I honestly dont see the point in putting a 125 char limit on a field that could potentially be very lengthy.
