This module in not helpfull in drupal 7. because it depends on profile module. profile module is dead in drupal 7.

Yes That is correct, profile module is dead in Drupal 7. This module should depend on profile2 module.

I thought the profile module is deprecated in Drupal 7, not dead. If you upgrade a D6 site with data in the Profile module, then the module will be left on. If you do a fresh install of D7, the Profile Module will be hidden. Surely?

Profile is a core module in D7.
