I have a new site that I am using to test drupal 5.0, I have been able to install 5.0 and it is running without any hitches. I have downloaded some non core modules that I want on this site. I have equally uploaded these modules to the modules directory. But I cannot see them in the Admin module section unlike what was obtainable in 4.7

Is there anything that I have done wrong, please I would like to know if old modules developed for 4.7 wont work on 5.0 and if not what I can I do to bring them up to date with 5.0

Any suggestion will be welcome

I have to re submit this topic because I felt that it has a wrong project type. The issue I specifically referring to, has to do with drupal 5.0 not being able to configure modules that it did not ship with. I have over ten modules uploaded to my modules directory but only advpoll showed up in admin module panel. others where non existent.

Plase I need to no if there is any problem with this or I have done something wrong or specifically if modules developed for 4.7 wont work with 5.0
