In the table of gateways, Auth.net ARB is claimed to be working. But further down the page there's...

"Authorize.net ARB - implementation of ARB in 2.x is still in progress, if you are currently using this gateway you should NOT upgrade to 2.x at this stage"

so what's the story is ARB ready to go in 2.x or not?

That section at the bottom is about upgrading from uc_recurring 1.x to 2.x branch - nobody who actually using this gateway has attempted to make the upgrade work (I don't use this gateway myself, which is why I have indicated it's supposed to work - but really don't now if it does or how well, I would recommend CIM over ARB any day for its increased flexibility).

Not to hijack this thread, but I was curious, Univate, if you can use the CIM from uc_recurring without using uc_cim? Does the uc_cim module just provide the interface that allows users to modify their own CIM data?

uc_cim is barely maintianded, but there is talk over there about uc_recurring support #925860: uc_cim patches for ubercart 6.x-2.x-dev, uc_recurring 6.x-2.x-dev

Or you can use the CIM support that is part of ubercart core.
