I'm thinking about the pro's and con's of using a spare computer as a Drupal development server -- and would love to hear other's opinions.
I have a spare Win XP Professional desktop with 750 mg ram (fast,huh?), Pentium 3 700 mgh, dual drive, ethernet, and a linksys router. I'd need to change out the motherboard to increase the ram. I've got a Win 7 64-bit dual-core HP desktop with 6 gigs ram and 5 gig hd that is my main computer. Was daydreaming about whether I should put dev server on the spare and network it to the 7 or just stop the daydreaming and put the dev server on the 7.
Is this a good use for an old spare computer?
