When trying to add a category in category module (not a container -worked fine), got the fatal error from the forum.module, line 85 (a project file). Fixed it by adding a request in the forum.module for the taxonomy.module file.

This is on a clean installation of drupal, however with a fair smattering of downloaded modules, which may have caused the problem. I dunno. Does anyone else have this problem?

Okay, I'm sorry, it was because I disabled the taxonomy module, the trouble being that both category and taxonomy produce a menu item called 'categories' so I began to think they might be mutually exclusive. I apologise for jumping the gun but I've been trying to configure drupal for days. Sure is a popular programme.
