I've already applied the fixes that address the problem where everything was X. Then my fgalleries worked fine for about 3 months, but now they've started displaying some thumbnails and some X's. When I look in the log, I see this:

system/files/images/flash/thumbs/res465690595.preview_0.jpg not found.

But the file does exist at system/files/images/res465690595.preview_0.jpg

Why would fgallery start storing this type of file in the wrong place sometimes?

Thanks much for taking up the project. I love this module but I'm having problems with Xs in those thumbnails. I used the 5 release in my install on my 5 box.

I had this problem in 4.7 too but the fixes to v 5 weren't the same. Can you help or point me to the fix page... I couldn't find one for 5.

Thanks and again, we appreciate your giving your time to this.

Can you tell me, when the image disappears, are these all _0 or _1 suggesting prefixing due to duplicates?

Duplicate file name seems to be the culprit. I witnessed the same issue (black X's for thumbnails). Make sure your image files have a unique name before importing, this fixed it.

Have the same problem with thumbs as X.
1. have unique names.
2. updated image module.

Log says: Can't find system/files/images/flash/thumbs/bild30.preview.JPG, which is there and have 775 access property on the server. I tried to swith to HTTP-open instead of Private in the file system setting i Drupal (http://www.liljeholmensfolkhogskola.se/admin/settings/file-system), but that only made it worse. X everywhere!
