I want to post two pdf files for download and reading for anyone (unregistered users and the like.)

Here's what I did:

  1. Enabled the Upload module
  2. Set appropriate permissions
  3. Enabled the File field on the page node
  4. Create a new Page / Attach two pdf files / Preview
  5. Attached files appear just fine in preview
  6. After the node is saved, the attached files disappear and are not displayed
  7. If you edit the node after seeing this, The file attachments have disappeared from the node
  8. At this point you can try re-attaching the files > they again show up in the preview > after the node is saved - same thing happens.

I have CKEditor installed too!
I tried putting a direct link in with the WYSIWYG Editor, but clicking on the link brings up a 408 error.
