My Drupal site url is for example http:example.com . IE6 and firefox display the site no problems. However, using bbcode to display an image does not. IE6 , when copying the image location affixes the www to the image url , while firefox does not. Hence , images locations created by IE6 show fine in IE6 but are not shown in firefox and viceversa. Can this be fixed at all please ? Thanks for any help.

naudefj commentedI don't quite understand the problem. Can you please provide more info? A screenshot, HTML code or a sample URL would help.

fluxrider commentedSorry to be confusing.
In Firefox , you click and hold for the drop down menu and choose 'copy image location' and in a post in the drupal forums you write the img opening tag, paste the copied url, and close the tag. The picture is displayed fine in the post.
A user at work using ie6 does exactly the same thing , excepting of course that in ie6 you must get the image location from the image properties, and here is the difference in the url. ie6 adds www to the start of it. This user goes ahead and adds that url between the img tags , and sees the picture fine.
Me at home using firefox however cant see the picture she has added , so I edit the tag and remove the www and bingo , I see the picture inline fine . But now she doesn't.
As this is not a problem in the overall display of the site in firefox or ie6 whether or not its http://example.com or http://www.example.com , I'm assuming there is a issue in bbcode.module
I really hope this explained things better. I'm not keen on advertising the site publicly , its busy enough as it is.
Thanks for considering this issue anyhow.

naudefj commentedI don't think this is a BBCode issue. The BBCode module generats the same HTML for all browsers.

fluxrider commentedWell yes. Not a issue with bbcode per se. I was hoping more for a workaround (code) if its ie6 habit to add www. I dont know ie6 and cant explore this till I get to work tomorrow and replicate this users issue using that browser. I'll be sure to get back an close this support request if I find a workaround. Thanks for your responses .

fluxrider commented::hanging head in shame::
I've just walked through this problem I had with a friend using ie6 and replicated the problem in thats browsers preferences. Sigh. How embarrassing. Should have been my first port of call. Aplogies naudefj for spoiling the no issues look of this module. If I could delete this issue I would . Please feel free to delete if you want. The preference was set to display images only from originating site.
On the plus side your response was outstandingly swift. :)
Thanks for all your work.
