I would like to develop a module or patch that would allow users to hotlink their images from
another site rather than uploading them, given the problems I've had with uploading currently.
(images go up, they appear in the files areas, they have full permissions, but only the default
avatar ever appears. Vers 4.4.2)
But I think I would also have it allow for 'moods' ala LJ. So in spaghetti, this would be a
an inserted additional field and modified profile module. The only thing I'm stuck on
is where to start with the current avatar pull from the database? I've looked at the code,
modified what I *thought* was right, but no dice.
Or would it be better to leave the current avatar code alone and just write a standalone module
and just insert the calls to it that way?
