pontus_nilssonNice functionality!

bobodrone commentedI have now also added support for editing a mini panel directly from pane links and in addition also gave the views and mini panels it´s own "dropdown-header" to make it a bit more pretty.
I still think that it maybe should be some kind of a hook function instead where other modules could hook into and create these links here instead but my knowledge about panels code is very basic so...
Happy 2011!

merlinofchaos commentedThere's a panels_pane_alter that people can use to add these.
Comment #4
bobodrone commentedOk. thanx for quick reply!
I look into that right away.

merlinofchaos commentedOh wait. You're talking about a different set of links than I was thinking. Nevermind. Yes, there needs to be an alter for these, though it's not quite that simple -- and there's a patch for that because skinr is going to need it too.
Comment #6
bobodrone commentedYes, you are right, there should be a common alter function for all these.
And after getting used to work with these fancy shortcut links for a couple of weeks now, I will have a hard time imagine a life without them... :)
They bring more joy to master panels configuration with other modules.

bobodrone commentedSo I have now added a hook to panels_renderer_editor "panels_renderer_editor_pane_links" that makes it possible for other modules to add links to the list of links in the pane-dropdown.
I have also created a module "pal" (panels awesome links) which adds the most common links for:
* views
* view panes
* blocks
* menus
* site information
* fields
In the future the other modules should have these links in their own implementation of this new hook but for now for testing you can use this module.

vijaycs85patch doesn't apply anymore. Rerolling and tested with PAL module (http://drupal.org/sandbox/bobodrone/1497388) and can see the link appearing (though it goes to wrong path as pal is D7 module) in dropdown (attached screenshot). +1 to RTBC.

gmclelland commentedFYI... we already have a hook_get_pane_links_alter() function for this in the panels module. See #1400884: Custom menu items in pane dropdown links
Right now with the dev releases we have edit links for the following:
Though it seems that https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/bobodrone/1497388 provides more implementations. It provides edit field links and links to jump to individual portions of the mini panel.
I'm not sure what is the best way to proceed? Any thoughts? Hope that helps

japerryYah I'm not quite sure what we need to do here.. looks more like a views issue now.
