I am using the stock module with stockapi, I am able to pull all the data from NASDAQ and such but when I enter the Dow Jones symbol (^DJI), the site just takes forever and I eventually get an internal server error. Its pretty wierd. I see other people have had this trouble as well. Any suggestions?

^DJI is not supported anymore by Yahoo:
http://developer.yahoo.net/forum/?showtopic=6943&endsession=1.

I managed to workaround this issue by following these steps:
1. Add INDU to the sybols list. This will add ^DJI to the stockapi table.
2. Locate the ^DJI record in the stockapi table
3. Rename ^DJI to INDU

Since ^DJX works and provides 1/100 of the ^DJI is there some way that this might be used to approximate the ^DJI
