Is it possible to add the ability to rename or name the bookmarklet? or is this already possible?

Not yet possible, but sounds like a useful feature

There is a problem with allowing users to rename bookmarklets and localization. Right now we can pick only one of the two, because of how Drupal handles localization (this will hopefully change in Drupal 6).

So I'm willing to rename the default bookmarklet to a better scheme, like "Add new story to websitename", but I won't make it customizable.

That won't stop you to use the localization system to change that string to something you like better.

Any idea for a better scheme?

that makes sense. Making the name of the bookmarklet something that involves the sitename as well.

For example, i just want my bookmarklet to say "Submit to Sitename" or "Submit contenttype to Sitename"

as it is now, i actually have to name my content "contenttype to sitename" for it to display a meaningful label. this works, but is not terribly pretty :)

thanks!

Done.

You'll have to download the HEAD snapshot release, or wait until I make an official release
