arianek commentedyes please! (i was just coming to file this) ;)
silverwing commentedSome issues about this from the redesign queue (first is really a duplicate)
#939260: Ensure existing blocks (e.g.Documentation team links) are available in Dashboard
#945996: Add back regular sidebar blocks, optional per-user
Comment #3
arianek commentedthx silverwing - sounded like #939260: Ensure existing blocks (e.g.Documentation team links) are available in Dashboard was the plan, and that getting the optional sidebar block back was a no go from our discussions on saturday... (avoiding cluttered sidebar is one of the redesign goals)

jhodgdonI just commented out a page on the contribute/documentation page that mentioned this nonexistent block. When it is reinstated, we should un-comment that piece (near the bottom in Communication).
bryan kennedy commented+1 on this one. I'd really like to be able to add a document contributors block to the dashboard.
bryan kennedy commentedWhat if we made this a setting in the "Contributors Links" block? You could turn on documentation links for that block, instead of adding another block. Just an idea.
arianek commentedbryan - the block already exists (from the old version of the site), it just needs to be reinstated!
arianek commentedw00t, just talked to killes and davereid and i'm going to update the links then request the block be enabled. who knew it was that easy??
arianek commentedUpdated http://drupal.org/admin/build/menu-customize/menu-documentation-t pinging infra to review and reinstate
Comment #10
arianek commentedmenu block has been reenabled with the help of davereid, and jhodgdon and i reviewed and amended the links. had a user with no special roles/perms test it, and it's all good. going to announce to the team.
drumm - if you see this, the expanded bullet doesn't seem to want to go away tho there's no items nested, and expanded is unchecked. not sure if it's just cached. and the bullets seem to need some margin-left on them (tho i wouldn't be sad if the bullets went away completely) - this is the menu: http://drupal.org/admin/build/menu-customize/menu-documentation-t
(changing title slightly to reflect what's left)

jhodgdonthanks all for making this happen! This was one of our December priorities... :)
drummThis really should be in code. Please don't make homebox changes through the UI. http://drupalcode.org/project/drupalorg.git/commitdiff/8a916c1?hp=45040e... is the change I committed. It also includes an "Add to dashboard" link in the top-right of http://drupal.org/contribute/documentation.
The theme fixes are ready to go as well, menu lists are now like other lists, for example, Drupal Planet.

drummDeployed.

arianek commentedThis looks great Neil, thanks a bunch - and no manual box adding duly noted for next time!
