Issue Summary
I'd like to have a config option to show the anonymous posters email & website only to special groups (roles).
E.g, only the admin role could see the email & website entrys in the site wide guestbook and only users can see these entrys in their own guestbooks.
Reason:
It's not a good idea to let (anonymous) users post urls or emails to guestbooks (=spam), on the other hand there are many reasons why someone wants me to have his email or website adress.
I think this could be achieved by changing the template, but this is not a very flexible solution.

Sorry, but this feature request is too custom to be added to the module.

Are you kidding? Too custom? I totally agree with Andreas Wolf. Showing anonymous user's personal email addresses to the public basically opens their accounts to spam. However hiding their addresses through disabling that option basically makes the email + website field feature absolutely useless. For even an admin can't see the addresses then. So what's the point? The entire reason that people leave their email addresses in a guestbook entry is in hopes that the guestbook/website admin will want to continue a discussion or stay in touch via email afterward.
So I'm opening this back up in hopes of getting this added as a permission or an option in the settings.
Thanks

I am also very interested in this feature. At least the email should only be seen by the admin.
Many thanks

Alternatively, if the contacts can be sent via notification email to admin, then we can set the contact email not shown up in website.

I agree with the feature request. It just escaped my attention until I went to look at posts and saw the poster's email address, to my dismay. I'll take care of this through theming for now.
