When I create a new node or comment that is set to post to Facebook, the Facebook dialog pops-up but does not successfully connect to post. It just sits at the Facebook dialog pop-up. I've tested this in other browsers all with the same result. Logging in via a Facebook profile works. Dialog pops-up and requests username and password and successfully logs in.

I'm also having this issue, additionaly sometimes I get this entry on dblog:

fbconnect_autoconnect_form_submit has been called without valid facebook session. Check your Application Secret on fbconnect settings page

When I try to configure fbconnect on App Settings tab I get this error:

    * Exception thrown while using admin_setAppProperties : The method you are calling must be called with an app secret signed session
    * Checking your facebook session, you are not allowed to change this application settings

however users can login and/or register with their facebook accounts but posting is not possible.

I am having the same issue but on a different machine, it's working fine. It seems to me an API issue.
